POLICE officers looking for love have been warned not to post photos of themselves in uniform on a dating website. Police Scotland staff could be disciplined if they put pictures of themselves in their blues on Uniform Dating and similar sites. The site finds love for personnel including police, military, airline crews, prison warders and nurses. The force have no problem with them joining the website but they must be in civilian clothes in their photos. Despite the Police Scotland ban, some site members who claim to be police officers have included photos of themselves in uniform. A firefighter or nurse in uniform might be seen as strong, kind, caring and supportive and a police officer as authoritative. By Derek Alexander.
